December 2007

Audrianna will be 8 months this next week. She is such a blessing to us. We spent some time the other day playing and taking some pics. What a ham! She has a little cold, so I was surprised she was so willing to pose! Last night while I was holding her as she was sleeping on my tummy I was overcome with the realization of what a precious gift she is! I know at times I worry for her future, but I'm not willing for that to come in the way of enjoying the present! I just love this girl!

Merry Christmas!

Avila Valley Barn

Nick had a little too much fun feeding the animals!

Posted by Picasa
Earlier this month we had our friends, the Polich's come and visit for a few days. We took one afternoon and went to Avila Valley Barn. What a blast we had climbing on pumpkins (woops that was a no-no) and feeding all of the animals.

These pics are from passing out candy in Paso Robles on Halloween. Since Highland's Church office is downtown, we participated in the trick or treating. We decorated the hallway leading up to the offices... Mikayla and some of the Jr. Highers carved the pumpkins along with a couple of the businesses located in the building. We had over 3000 pieces of candy, which we ran out of, passed out tickets for Movie Sunday and just had fun meeting many of our neighbors. I believe the count of children was closer to 5000 this year! Oh my goodness. With all the tickets we passed out we might need overflow this Sunday! What a great problem! It sure was fun being a part of last night! Mikayla and Bella only walked around for about a half an hour and the rest of the time passed out candy and tickets! We were there from 3:30 to 8 and the girls did GREAT! I was so proud of them!

Audrianna's Dedication Video

Here is the video we showed at Audrianna's Dedication at Highlands church. Hope you are blessed by this little angel! She sure is a miracle and we are blessed to be chosen for her parents. I know God has huge plans for her life. She has the best big sisters, who love her dearly. We know her life is going to teach us more than we could ever imagine. Thank you all for your prayers and encouragement!

More Cakes

OK so the chocolate and pansy cake didn't upload...I'll try again. These other cakes are for friend's weddings and a 50th anniversary party. That party had a carrot and a white cake.(This was my first Carrot cake ever!) And the other cake was Bella's 2nd Birthday cake...Strawberry Shortcake themed. She never got a 3rd birthday cake....we were just about to move and I was 9 mo. prego. Need I say more? The best part of making these cakes is that Nick likes to do them with me. It is great having extra hands. However lately he hasn't been available to help as much, so I've been juggling 3 kids running around, a cat and a dog just dying for a lick and various other distractions while making cakes. It's crazy....but a good crazy!

KBellA Cakes

Here are some of my cakes. We've been having fun with them! KBellA Cakes is the name I am using the "K" for "Kayla" the "Bell" for "Bella" and the "A" for "Audrianna". The surf cake was for one of our Jr. Higher's birthday party, the Camo Cake for our friend's 40th birthday (orange flavored cake with orange flavored cream cheese frosting) and the baby cake was for a friend's shower (when you cut into it there is a pink layer of frosting-surprise) and the chocolate with purple pansies was for a 90th birthday party. Both of the chocolate ones were SUPER CHOCOLATEY! Then the poke-a-dot/swimming one was for Mikayla's 7th b'day party and the horse one was for her 6th.

Hi there!

We are so blessed! God has been so faithful to us on this journey! All 3 girls are doing pretty well. Nick is working hard, and I am loving being a mom....though exhausted at times! Our church here is so very exciting...God is really at work here and it is a thrill to be a part of it! So here is a brief update on the girls:

Mikayla- is now 7 and full of energy. She is presently in a class at school which isn't good for her. Her teachers "work ethic" (or lack of) is rubbing off on her. She hasn't really made any friends that I think are "keepers." So far they have shared stuff that has made her fearful to use one of the girl's restrooms and almost daily she asks if ghosts are real and such. She also has said 5 or 6 times now that her teacher doesn't care about her work or whether she was at school on time. ACH! As a teacher this has been killin' me! I really don't want her to waste this year! So with all of that we are pursuing switching schools! We checked out a Christian school nearby that we think would be better for her. We took her to the school to sit in on a class and she loved it and has asked daily since if she was going to start at that school soon. We are praying that the money side of it will work out and that God will make it perfectly clear that we are to be there and that we can make the move soon! Other than that she is involved in Awanas, and gymnastics and one of the highlights of her week is waking up at 5am on Sundays and going with Nick to set church up at the theater! She loves that time with him!

Isabella- Oh what can I say? She is such a character and I am in so much trouble with this one! She is a mini-Nick! Out of the 3, she is the one who looks most like him...his coloring and all....minus the goatee! (thank goodness!!!) She is also doing Awanas and gymnastics. And she comes with me to church at 8 or 9:30 (if we choose to sleep in!) She has had a blast getting to know her cousins better (they are in her class for Awanas!) She constantly makes us laugh. One thing she does, or used to before she grew out of it (bummer) is after she put on lip gloss or chap stick she wouldn't move her lips. She would stick them out and kept them still while trying to tell me that, "I can't talk I have lip gloss on." What a site! She also loves her little sister..AKA Living Doll! I don't think one baby could get more kisses!

So on to our #3:
Audrianna- what a sweet heart she is. When she smiles her whole face lights up. She is doing great! Just today she rolled all the way across our living room. She is also imitating me when I laugh. The specialists are thrilled with how she is doing, which makes this journey a bit easier! I think she has her first cold, but it isn't too bad...just a couple sneezes and sniffles. She is sure to be a HUGE blessing to all who meet her!

Well, I could go on and on bragging on my girls! They are pretty wonderful! So is my hubby! He is working so hard to make ends meet, doing various jobs on the side....catering/deck building, dog sitting, etc. I am so proud of him. And even with that he is doing incredible with the youth here and all the while spending all the time he can with his girls! Pretty amazing, that guy is!

My latest thing is making cakes. It has been fun to have a little job to do for extra money. I have learned so much and I am loving it! I'll have to post some of my favorites! Well, I hope you all are well!

Love you all!
